Work Experience Placements
At John F Kennedy we encourage work with our partners in the community. For the past few years we have provided many work experience placements for students at the University of East London, Epping Forest College. These students, on courses relating to child care, social care and trainee nurses spend time in our school, working alongside staff to better understand the needs of our pupils when encountered in their own profession. This has proved highly successful in supporting our colleagues to provide the best possible care for similar young people. In addition to this we also provide work experience placements to many secondary pupils from across Newham.
Teacher Training Students
John F Kennedy school has been asked by Nottingham Trent University and the University of East London to work with their education departments by offering placements for their trainee teachers. We are now pleased to welcome the first of these trainee teachers to their teaching practice at our school. We look forward to providing a first class environment for the next generation of teachers and to the benefits these new collaborations will provide for our staff and pupils.
