Work Experience Placements

At JFK Special School we encourage work with our partners in the community. For the past few years we have provided many work experience placements for students at the University of East London, Epping Forest College. These students, on courses relating to child care, social care and trainee nurses spend time in our school, working alongside staff to better understand the needs of our pupils when encountered in their own profession. This has proved highly successful in supporting our colleagues to provide the best possible care for similar young people. In addition to this we also provide work experience placements to many secondary pupils from across Newham.

Teacher Training Students

JFK Special school works collaboratively with ITT providers by offering placements for their trainee teachers. We provide a first class environment for the next generation of teachers, a number of whom that have successfully gone on to become permanent members of staff here at JFK.
